My name is Emma Mae Lively. I am four years old and I want to tell you about my first fishing trip with
my PawPaw! The morning started off a little shaky ... I thought my PawPaw might even cancel our fishing
trip because I accidentally kicked over his cup of coffee on the tailgate of the truck, all over him. But,
he loves me, so we went fishing anyway.
My friend Terri gave me a new pink Barbie fishing pole, so I really wanted to catch some fish. We
needed some worms and hooks, so we stopped by the bait shop and PawPaw bought me some "Smiley Face"
bobbers. We finally got to the pond and the first thing that happened was I slipped in the mud and my hat
fell in the water ... can you believe my PawPaw was laughing at me and grabbed the video camera so he
could film it - that's mean PawPaw.
The worms were a little slimy and hard to pick up, but
my PawPaw baited my hook for me all morning and
guess what? I caught some fish with my new fishing
poll and had so much fun! When we got back to the
house, PawPaw had to get me all cleaned up because I
had mud all over me ... we had so much fun!
