Marisa Lee –An Ohio native, she went to college at Auburn University,
in Alabama, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology and a
master’s degree in education. Marisa is a certified wildlife biologist and
FBI firearms instructor. She is committed to introducing others to the
outdoor sports. While working for the Alabama Wildlife Federation she
co-founded the Outdoor Women’s Network a program that provides
direct hunting and angling opportunities for women. Before that, as a
county extension agent, she coached local 4-H shooting sports teams in
rifle, pistol and shotgun. She also currently serves on the local pro-staff
of a Bass Pro shop. She is an avid hunter as well as a competitive
sporting clays shooter, winning four state championships. She is
currently the state secretary/treasurer of the Alabama Chapter of The
Wildlife Society and belongs to numerous other conservation

organizations. Marisa’s favorite species to hunt is the turkey, but she welcomes the opportunity to hunt anything new. She
has hunted nilgai in Texas, tundra swans in North Carolina, common rails in Virginia, pheasants in Kansas, ducks in Ohio, as well
as deer, turkeys, quail and doves in Alabama. However, she will tell you that her most rewarding hunts are those where she
has introduced someone new to the sport.
Marisa is currently the regional hunter safety coordinator for the Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries in Alabama
and the state co-coordinator of their National Archery in the Schools Program.
