Chuck Younke, a turkey hunter and taxidermist with over 30 years of experience, knows how important making his decoys look as real as possible is.
“I was one of the first guys to take advantage of the new full body decoys when they came out,” Chuck said, “They are more realistic looking but,
even with that, the tails just weren’t right and the toms could tell.” One of the first changes Chuck made was to replace the artificial tail with a
real one. “The difference was amazing,” said Chuck. “We had toms coming in and picking fights with our decoys.” Footage Chuck has from his hunts
with the real tail tell the story.
Chuck loved the results but didn’t have a good way to use his real tails without ruining them. “I’m a taxidermist so I appreciate the work that goes
into preserving a tail and really hate to see them get ruined,” Chuck said. “I wanted to develop a way to help other hunters have the “edge” of using
a real tail while protecting it so it can be used on many hunts.” And that is just what Chuck did by developing Turkey Tail Saver™. Hunters now
